Mercedes-Benz GLC: with a new nose after the electric one

The Mercedes-Benz GLC suddenly has a brand new electric brother. A refresh can’t hurt then. There’s a good chance the fuel-powered GLC will get a similar nose.

If you’re talking about the Mercedes-Benz GLC now, you could mean two cars. You have the regular GLC with fuel engines and you recently have the brand new all-electric GLC with EQ technology. The latter succeeds the EQC and is now, in terms of name, much more clearly a brother of the GLC. That while they are on a completely different basis and the fuel-powered GLC is considerably older. To bring the two more in line with each other, the GLC will get a facelift. The GLC without EQ technology, that is.

As can be seen directly from the camouflage, Mercedes-Benz is mainly focusing on the front with the refresh. Not surprising, because the electric GLC has quite a different nose. Among other things, a striking and (depending on the version) strongly chromed grille determines the image. The chance is quite high that the GLC will get a similar nose. The headlights also seem to be sharpened somewhat.

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLC is of course also available as a ‘CoupĂ©’.

We don’t necessarily expect major technical changes. In the electric field, the fuel-powered GLC already has quite a bit to offer, with an electric range of no less than 127 km for the plug-in. However, don’t be surprised if the Germans still manage to achieve somewhat better performance.
