Volgend jaar introduceert Nissan een fonkelnieuwe generatie van de Juke. Die nieuwe Nissan Juke wordt helemaal elektrisch. Wat blijkt nu: de huidige generatie met verbrandingsmotoren blijft er mogelijk even naast bestaan.
In 2026 brengt Nissan een volledig nieuwe en alweer derde generatie van de Juke op de markt. Van die nieuwe Nissan Juke liet de fabrikant eerder al een stel duistere afbeeldingen zien. De aandrijflijn van die nieuwe Juke is minstens zo interessant als het nieuwe design, want de volgende generatie wordt helemaal elektrisch. Dat hoeft echter niet direct het eind van een Juke-met-benzinemotor te betekenen.
Alexandre Armada – hoog in de boom bij Nissan Europe – zegt tegen Automotive News dat overweegt om de huidige generatie Nissan Juke aan te houden naast de nieuwe elektrische Juke. De verkoop van elektrische auto’s gaat niet in elk Europees land immers even hard.
De Nissan Juke met benzinemotoren werd in 2019 gepresenteerd en is inmiddels dus zo’n zes jaar oud. Hij is er in Nederland met een 114 pk sterke 1.0 driecilinder benzinemotor met handgeschakelde zesbak en met automaat met dubbele koppeling. Ook is er een hybride met 143 pk. De reguliere benzineversie kost minimaal €30.390, de hybride is er vanaf €34.240. In 2024 zette Nissan in Nederland nog 1.455 Jukes op naam. Over de eerste zeven maanden van dit jaar staat de registratieteller op 837 stuks.
De nieuwe generatie Nissan Juke rolt straks net als de Ariya en de nieuwe Leaf in het Engelse Sunderland van de band. Onder de koets kom je straks bekende techniek tegen.
Double Life
Next year, Nissan will introduce a brand new generation of the Juke. The new Nissan Juke will be fully electric. What turns out: the current generation with combustion engines may continue to exist alongside it for a while.
In 2026, Nissan will launch a completely new and already third generation of the Juke. The manufacturer has previously shown a set of dark images of the new Nissan Juke. The powertrain of that new Juke is at least as interesting as the new design, because the next generation will be fully electric. However, that does not necessarily mean the end of a Juke with a gasoline engine.
Alexandre Armada – high up in the tree at Nissan Europe – tells Automotive News that it is considering keeping the current generation Nissan Juke alongside the new electric Juke. After all, the sale of electric cars is not going equally fast in every European country.
The Nissan Juke with gasoline engines was presented in 2019 and is now about six years old. In the Netherlands, it is available with a 114 hp 1.0 three-cylinder gasoline engine with a manual six-speed gearbox and with an automatic transmission with double clutch. There is also a hybrid with 143 hp. The regular gasoline version costs a minimum of €30,390, the hybrid is available from €34,240. In 2024, Nissan registered 1,455 Jukes in the Netherlands. Over the first seven months of this year, the registration counter stands at 837 units.
The new generation Nissan Juke will soon roll off the production line in Sunderland, England, just like the Ariya and the new Leaf. You will soon encounter familiar technology under the body.
