The current Range Rover Sport was unveiled 3.5 years ago, which is old enough for the British to have a refresh ready. Just don’t expect very big changes.
On October 26, 2021, exactly four years ago last Sunday, Land Rover revealed the fifth generation of the Range Rover. A little less than half a year later, the Range Rover Sport followed. A facelift now seems imminent for the latter, which almost certainly means the regular Range Rover will also be updated soon.
The vehicle is still well camouflaged, which creates the expectation that much will change. However, upon closer inspection, it turns out that a lot remains the same. We see a slightly different front grille design, and the lower grille also appears to change somewhat. At the rear, a more angular-shaped rear bumper stands out, likely featuring a more aggressive-looking diffuser in between.
We’re curious if any adjustments will be made to the Range Rover Sport’s powertrain. With up to 635 horsepower, the 4.4 V8 certainly doesn’t lack power. There is, however, an electric version in the pipeline. We spotted it a year ago. The facelift might coincide with the arrival of the electric Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
