Renault Rafale extends to President Macron

Renault Rafale Macron extended

The French President, Emmanuel Macron, has previously driven a Renault Rafale, and that lease contract is being extended. The car itself, by the way, too.

French car manufacturers are currently falling over each other to provide President Macron with a new car. A year ago, a Renault Rafale was delivered to the President, but in May, Macron appeared to have temporarily exchanged it for a special DS N°8. Macron is now back with the Rafale, but apparently, he wasn’t too happy with the legroom in Renault’s top model. Therefore, the car has been extended by a few centimeters, with the extra length, in good limousine fashion, entirely benefiting the rear passengers and rear doors. These doors are also equipped with soft-close mechanisms, and the entire car is armored in an almost invisible way.

Marble on the steering wheel, imagine that!

Optically, the Rafale has also been subtly but unmistakably adjusted. Besides the extra length, we note the characteristic and unique dark blue paint, the necessary flags and flag colors, and extra lights. The interior features beautiful, hand-stitched leather, special emblems, and – yes – marble finishing. This material can be found on the steering wheel, among other places. Renault reports that close attention has also been paid to aspects such as the climate control, while the rear section of the interior has been decorated with as much extra luxury as possible.
