A New Audi RS6 is coming, that’s for sure. The Big Question, However, is Whether there will also be an electric audi rs6 e-tron, and thesis spy shots contradict the rumors in that area.
The First New RS6 to Arrive is The Gasoline Version. Or rather ‘Hybrid’, because the successor to the ridiculously Fat V8-RS6 won Be Entirely Free of Electric Motors. This Car Will Be Based on the Recently Unveiled Regular A6 and Will Reportedly Have A V6 Gasoline Engine and A Total of Around 700 HP.
This is that other rs6, based on the gasoline a6.
However, Audi also has another A6 in its Range, the fully electric and otherwise unrelated a6 e-tron. For a long time, it was though that an rs6 would also Appear based on that car, but rumors are now heading in the opposite direction. Audi Has Reportedly Deemed The Project Hopeless and Therefore Scrapped It, But That Raises The Question of Why We Are Still Looking at a Camouflaged Audi RS6 E-Tron Today.
That’s at least what everything points to. The car on this page is an A6 e-tron, but wider than normal and equipped with large brake discs. The Bumpers Are Sportier, We Spot a Large Diffuser, There Are Gigantic Wheels, and in Front of the Front by There Are ‘Gills’ That The RS3 also Has. All the ingredients for an rs, and thus an electric super station wagon that might still be coming.
And why not, we immediately argue in Defense. There is more than Enough Reason to Doubt the Chances of Success EVS, But with the RS6 IT was Always More About Engine Power and Appearances Than About Sportiness. MoreOover, Audi Already Has the A6 E-tron and the over 500 HP S6 e-tron, so it may be a relatively small effort to add a few hundred hp on top of that.
