The successor to the Hyundai Bayon knows what it is: the new Bayon will be more of an SUV

The Hyundai Bayon, in its current form, doesn’t have many years left. Fortunately, its successor is already ready. The new Hyundai Bayon is clearly choosing a direction and becoming more of an SUV than it ever was.

Is it a crossover, is it a traditional hatchback? No, it’s the Hyundai Bayon. Like the Kia Stonic, the Hyundai Bayon is more a traditional B-segment hatchback with some crossover elements, rather than, say, a Renault Captur or Peugeot 2008. The Hyundai Bayon was presented in 2021 and will be five years old in a few months. It’s not ancient yet, but Hyundai seems to already have its successor in the development rooms. A test model is even getting used to daylight, and fortunately, there are photos of it.

The new Hyundai Bayon appears to be getting a clearer SUV-like appearance.
