This electric SUV from Honda will come to the Netherlands in 2027

One Year Later

Honda 0 α

Honda will eventually introduce no less than two electric models from what it calls its 0 Series in the Netherlands. One of them is an SUV, and in the form of this Honda 0 α Prototype, we now see a more concrete version of it.

Honda sells various electric models worldwide across different electric labels. In Europe, the offering of electric Hondas is currently still very limited with only the e:Ny1. Next year, Honda will bring the first EVs from what it calls the 0 Series to Europe and also to the Netherlands. One of them is an electric ‘sedan’ for which Honda showed a preview in the form of the 0 Saloon during CES in Las Vegas. On the same floor, there was a preview of an electric SUV from the same 0 Series. That SUV has now become somewhat more concrete, and it also has a new name: Honda 0 α (alpha).

The Honda 0 α looks very similar to the version we saw earlier this year, but is just a bit more production-ready. For example, the SUV has different bumpers, traditional side mirrors instead of cameras mounted on stalks, and Honda has added door handles. interestingly: the rear door handles are located where there was still a third side window in the 0 Series from January.

Is the Honda 0 α still coming our way? That was initially the story and we still assume so. However, Europe seems to have become a smaller priority for Honda. It now says that the SUV should come to market in 2027, not 2026, ‘globally but especially in Japan and India’.

Technical specifications of the Honda 0 α are not yet available.
