The New Best-Selling Car of the Future?

The Toyota Corolla is the world’s best-selling model still in use. It’s no surprise then that the Toyota Corolla has a long future ahead. This Toyota Corolla Concept shows what you can expect from a future new generation.
The current generation Toyota Corolla has been on the market since 2018 and is no longer a youngster. With this Corolla Concept, Toyota gives a glimpse of how the future thirteenth generation of the model might look. Very different from the current version, at any rate. It’s only the “Corolla” badge on the back that gives it away—otherwise, nothing about it reminds you of the Corolla.
The preview of the next generation Toyota Corolla appears to be a low four- or five-door, complete with a relatively flat rear window and a rear end featuring a small, ducktail-like spoiler. The angular design elements throughout the model are striking. The rear lighting consists almost entirely of a horizontal strip. At the front, we also see a horizontal, somewhat segmented LED bar, along with hook-shaped lighting. The car’s windshield extends relatively far forward. Interestingly, the Corolla Concept has no fewer than three flaps: one on each front fender and one on the left rear for charging or refueling.
The Corolla Concept might be a plug-in hybrid. Unfortunately, Toyota has not yet shared technical specifications. We can, however, show you a bit of the interior. It is relatively minimalist in design. Behind the steering wheel, we see a module made up of multiple screens. The center console is mounted next to it on a tower-like structure. Toyota has not yet announced when the new Corolla will be launched.
