This Seat Toledo has reached an old age inconspicuously – Enthusiast Wanted

Uniquely Preserved

Seat Toledo

It was never really a striking car, this first Seat Toledo. However, in today’s traffic it would stand out to us, because it is one of the few remaining examples.

In the early 1990s, the Toledo brought a significantly more modern successor to the Seat Malaga. For the design, the Spaniards turned to none other than Giorgetto Giugiaro, who certainly knew how to handle it. Still, the Toledo never quite attracted the attention that Seat had undoubtedly hoped for. That doesn’t change the fact that it was actually a fairly well-selling model, and it did well here in the Netherlands too. In 1992, the model year of this example, almost 3,200 were sold.

Seat Toledo

As you’ve undoubtedly already realized, only a fraction of the Toledos once sold here are still on the road. It seems that from these model years, only 80 still have a valid MOT. That is really very few, especially when you consider that this number undoubtedly already includes some second-generation Toledos. One of them is this champagne-colored 1.8i. The fact that this one has held up so well for so long is of course thanks to its ownership history.

This Toledo has, to this day, only had one private owner. That’s quite special for its age. You can see it too. The car looks neat both inside and out. Although we did spot a small cosmetic flaw, which hopefully is easy to fix. The front bumper hangs a bit sadly on the left side. Hopefully, that’s not a sign that the car had a bump there at some point, because then perhaps underneath the surface things are a bit less fresh than they seem now. For €4,450, the Toledo can go to its next owner. Something tells us the final price will be a bit lower.
