25 grand

Volkswagen has been talking for a while about a starting price of roughly 25 grand for the Volkswagen ID Polo. That appears to also apply to the Netherlands.
The Volkswagen ID Polo will reinforce the electric ranks at Volkswagen next year. The long-awaited electric alternative to the almost identically named success number must convince, among other things, with its price tag. Volkswagen stated during the IAA in Munich that it is aiming for a starting price of roughly €25,000. It now appears that the Germans are keeping their word, also here in the Netherlands.
Interested parties can now indicate to Volkswagen that they want to be kept informed. Reserving the ID Polo is ‘possible soon’, writes Volkswagen. The brand communicates a starting price of €24,990 for the ID Polo. There is also a timer, which expires on December 15. It is possible that the order books will open then and we may hear more about the entry-level version.
The roughly 4.05 meter long Volkswagen ID Polo will soon compete with cars like the Renault 5, which is also available from exactly that price. The Frenchman offers 95 hp of power and a range of 310 km with a 40 kWh battery for that money. We are betting on similar figures for the ID Polo. The Volkswagen is probably a bit more spacious. It is still a question of what the equipment is for that money. There is a good chance that the entry-level ID Polo will be a bit more bare than the Renault.
