KGM Musso

The car is not the other, and so one KGM Musso is not the same as the other. In the Netherlands, we already know the KGM Musso as an electric pick-up. Now there is a new KGM Musso, and it simply has internal combustion engines.

The KGM Musso EV is an electric and relatively low pickup that has a much taller namesake in its home country, South Korea. That one is simply called KGM Musso and differs from the electric Musso in more than just its dimensions and name. The KGM Musso is only available with petrol and diesel engines. Musso is now a label that covers multiple models.

The new KGM Musso is a pick-up with a ladder chassis, similar to models like the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, and Mitsubishi L200. The new Musso serves as the successor to the pick-up variant of the Rexton (Rexton Sport), which was not delivered in the Netherlands. The ruggedly designed workhorse comes in two lengths. The short variant spans a distance of 5.15 meters, and for those who want more, there is the 5.46-meter long ‘Lang’ (Long) version. The wheelbase of the shorter variant is 3.1 meters; the Lang has an additional 11 centimeters between the front and rear axles.

Regardless of whether you opt for the short or long version, you can choose between a 202 hp strong 2.0-liter petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel that delivers 217 hp. Furthermore, the Musso Lang is only available with four-wheel drive, while the shorter variants are available with both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive. Notably: on the right side, the KGM Musso has a different shoulder line in the rear door.

As far as is known, the KGM Musso will not come to the Netherlands. The electric KGM Musso EV will, of course, remain available here.
