The favorably priced Leapmotor B10 gets a cheaper and smaller alternative. It is called Leapmotor A10 in China and has now been introduced to European customers as Leapmotor B03X.
In November, we already wrote extensively about the A10. The Leapmotor A10 is the smaller and cheaper alternative to the B10, which is naturally already sharply positioned in the market. Although the model name A10 would also be obvious in Europe, Leapmotor chooses to call the Opel Mokka-sized crossover B03X in our part of the world. The Leapmotor B03X is now making its public debut in Brussels.
The manufacturer is not sharing new information, which means we can only repeat what we already knew. The Leapmotor B03X is 4.27 meters long and has over 2.6 meters between the front and rear axles, according to information we have unearthed from the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is about 25 centimeters shorter than its big brother, the B10. In China, the B03X, named A10 there, has an LFP battery that enables a range of over 500 kilometers (CLTC). Which battery the B03X will get in the Netherlands and how many WLTP kilometers it will achieve is still unknown. In China, the A10 will be available with a 95 hp electric motor and a 122 hp power unit.
Price Leapmotor B03X
The Leapmotor B10 is available in the Netherlands starting from €27,000. If Leapmotor can make the smaller B03X a few thousand euros cheaper, the Chinese SUV could make life difficult for the Citroën ë-C3 Aircross and Opel Frontera Electric.
