New Nissan Leaf in Europe more smoother than in United States

Smooth, huh?

Nissan Leaf

Nissan is suddenly moving at a rapid pace. Shortly after the introduction of the brand new Nissan Micra, the brand is launching another new model this month. That is also a special one. It is the completely new Nissan Leaf. And what do you know? It is even smoother in Europe than in the United States.

The Nissan Leaf was the first mass-produced electric car ever. Unfortunately for Nissan, the model no longer enjoys as much attention as it used to. The current model was presented in 2017 and was a thorough further development of the original Leaf, something that is immediately clear when you compare the windows of the two. For a long time, the Nissan Leaf was a five-door hatchback, but the new Leaf will be something completely different. Indeed: a crossover. A smooth one at that.

Nissan recently released a first image of the new Leaf, but kept all technical information, as well as images of the rear and interior, under wraps. Little changes now, although we do learn something. For example, Nissan reveals that the new Leaf will be available with an electrochromatic dimmable panoramic roof, and that the Cd value – the drag coefficient – of the model is 0.25 Cd. That is not only less than that of the outgoing Leaf (0.28), but also less than the new Nissan Leaf in the United States. How is that possible? Well, the new Nissan Leaf in Europe will have different side mirror caps and different wheels than in the United States.

An ideal fact to bore the long-sought-after interested listener at a birthday party or at the coffee machine, right?
