Bergen news!

Toyota has fully opened the news tap. Prepare for a new and perhaps electric Toyota Corolla, for a new supercar that follows in the footsteps of cars like the 2000GT and Lexus LFA. But there’s much more!
Later this month, the doors of the Japan Mobility Show will open. Nissan will show the updated Ariya there, among other things, and Suzuki will park a small electric city rocket there. Toyota is certainly not letting that show go unnoticed either. It now shows a glimpse of what you can expect from the brand there. That turns out to be quite a lot!
Toyota Corolla Concept: just wait a bit longer!
Successor to the 2000 GT and LFA
Other Toyota news relates to a completely different type of model: a supercar. Toyota and Lexus have been talking about the arrival of a new supercar for years. In August, for example, Lexus showed this Sport Concept. Toyota is now showing detail shots of the Toyota 2000 GT and Lexus LFA and adds a detail photo of a still new model. The images (photos 5 and 6) are accompanied by the text ‘The Soul Lives On’. That can only mean one thing: in Tokyo we’ll see more of the car that continues the bloodline of the 2000 GT and LFA. Whether that will be a Lexus or Toyota model remains to be seen.

Will it be a Toyota, or a Lexus after all?
Century and more
We’re not done yet. For example, Toyota is releasing an extensive series of teaser plates of an apparently new coupe that it links to the model name Century (photos 7 through 12). One of One, Toyota calls out. So it seems to be about a single specimen. A special one too: we see a model with stubborn sliding doors that open both forward and backward and a rear without a rear window. Why not.

In Toyota’s news barrel are photos of a small, simple utility workhorse (photo 13), of a tiny cart for children (photo 14) and of a more production-ready looking version of the Kayoibako Concept shown in 2023 (photo 15). On to Tokyo!
