Given the number of Black Packs, Black Lines, and Black Editions on offer, it’s hard to avoid concluding that such darker-than-dark versions are apparently popular. This time, the Porsche Taycan and Cayenne seek visual darkness.
The Porsche Taycan Black Edition comes standard with the SportDesign package and also gets black trim around the side windows, high-gloss black side mirror caps, and black model designation, as well as an illuminated black Porsche logo in the strip connecting the taillights. Also standard on the Black Edition of the Taycan: black accents in the interior, the ‘Storage Package,’ and black illuminated door sills made of brushed aluminum.
The Porsche Taycan Sedan, Taycan 4 Sedan, Taycan 4S Sedan, and the Taycan Sport Turismo and Taycan 4S Sport Turismo are available as Black Editions. The Black Edition brings something important: the Performance Battery Plus with a gross capacity of 105 kWh is standard, while normally you would have to pay extra for it with the aforementioned engine versions.
Cayenne
Prefer a Porsche Cayenne as a Black Edition? No problem, it’s available now too. The Porsche Cayenne Black Edition also has the SportDesign package, supplemented by ‘the exterior package’ and black side mirror caps. Here too, the Porsche logo and model designation on the rear are in black. Of course, an arsenal of dark accents also finds its way to the interior of the SUV.
More, More, and More
Are you still keeping up with more than just external details? Certainly. For example, the Black Editions of both the Taycan and Cayenne come standard with Lane Change Assist, Surround View, Active Parking Assist, 21-inch alloy wheels, HD Matrix LED headlights, extensively electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, Porsche logos in the headrests, and an extensive audio system from Bose.
Prefer a Porsche that isn’t completely black? Then we have good news. All exterior colors can be combined with the Black Edition version.
