When you say Suzuki, you say Swift or Vitara. So it’s not surprising that Suzuki is attaching its first ever electric model to the telling model name Vitara. The Suzuki e Vitara has now arrived in the Netherlands, which means we can tell you what it costs.
Here we go: the Suzuki e Vitara has a starting price of €31,995 in the Netherlands. For that amount you get a 4.28 meter long electric crossover which, with that size, is a direct competitor to cars like the Opel Mokka Electric and Peugeot e-2008. For just under 32 grand you get a 49 kWh battery and a 144 hp electric motor that drives the front wheels. That combination is good for a range of 344 kilometers. The starting price applies to the Select version. For comparison: the Opel Mokka Electric and Peugeot e-2008 with 54 kWh battery and 156 hp electric motor are available from €33,999 and €36,700 respectively. Sister model Toyota Urban Cruiser is available from €32,995 and is therefore €1,000 more expensive than the Suzuki.
Prefer more power and a greater range? No problem. The Suzuki e Vitara is also available with a 61 kWh battery and a 174 hp electric motor. That combination helps the electric Suzuki to a range of 426 kilometers. It is available as Select from €35,295 and costs €37,795 as the more richly equipped Style.
Suzuki also supplies the e Vitara with AllGrip-e four-wheel drive. In that case you also get a 61 kWh battery, but also two electric motors with a combined 184 hp. The range is 395 kilometers. It is available as Select from €36,995 and can be taken home as the top version Style from €39,395.
Equipment
Entry-level version Select is certainly not bare. For example, you already get a 10.25 inch digital instrument panel, a 10-inch infotainment screen and an extensive package of passive and active safety systems. Also standard: climate control, Smart Entry, a leather-covered steering wheel, 18-inch light alloy, electrically folding and adjustable side mirrors and privacy glass. If you go for an e Vitara with a 61 kWh battery, the Select version also offers heated exterior mirrors, seat heating for the front, and a heated steering wheel.
Top version Style goes one step further. It offers, among other things, artificial leather upholstery, a panoramic roof, an extensive Infinity audio system and a 360-degree camera. You also get 19-inch light alloy, adaptive high beam and extensively electrically adjustable front seats.
